TAUNTON- Lorraine S. Costa, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the dear wife to the late Edmund Costa, who passed away in 1996.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Wilhemina (Alcorn) Dutra. She grew up in Taunton and was educated in the Taunton School System.
For many years, Lorraine had the ever so important role of being a Homemaker. She took great pride in providing a safe and comfortable home to her husband, four children, and all who entered her home.
In her spare time, Lorraine was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and she also enjoyed her arts and crafts.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Lorna Burke-Young and her husband John of No. Dighton, Paula Rosebush and her husband Donald of of West Bridgewater, Keith Costa and his companion Laurie Gresh of Bourne, and Kevin Costa and his wife Jennifer of Pleasant Hill, CA; her grandchildren: Ryan Burke, Emma Rosebush, Ethan & Halle Costa (Keith) of NH, Lucas Costa & Blake Costa of CA (Kevin and Jennifer); her great-granddaughter: Riley Burke; and also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Lorraine is predeceased by her siblings: Ed "Wally", Arthur, Thelma, Mildred, Charles, Jr., and Carl.
Lorraine’s visitation with funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:30am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
