MIDDLEBORO - Lorraine R. (Ricardo) Pereira, wife of the late Mariano J. Pereira, Sr., died at her Middleboro home surrounded by her family on June 1, 2016.
She was 83.
Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Julia (Morris) Ricardo.
Mrs. Pereira was employed by the Foxboro, Co. for many years.
After her retirement, she volunteered at the Merrill Elementary School in Raynham.
She was a very loving and caring person who truly loved her family dearly.
Survivors include a son, Mariano J. "Jerry" Pereira, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Middleboro; two brothers, William Ricardo of Somerville and John Ricardo of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Erik Pereira of Middleboro and Elisa Pereira of Brockton; and two great grandchildren, Alana Vidot and Esteban Vidot, Jr.
She was also sister to the late Francis and Manny Ricardo, Delores Flynn and Thelma Moniz.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, June 8th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church in Raynham at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 7th from 4 to 7 p.m.
