DIGHTON - Louis A. Sanson, son of the late Antone and Mary (Rogers) Sanson, died at the Dighton Care & Rehabilitation Center on Aug. 8, 2016.
He was 81.
He was born, raised and educated in Dighton, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
A self-employed farmer for most of his life, Mr. Sanson developed lasting friendships with many of the youth who worked for him on his farm.
A communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, he will be remembered as a devoted son and brother. Survivors include his sister, Emily Sanson of Dighton and his dear friend and caretaker, Jenny Meneses of Taunton.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Aug. 15th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
