Lourenco Martines Fagundes, 85, of Taunton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday.
He was the husband of Maria (Enacio) Fagundes.
Born in Agualva, Terceira, Azores, son of the late Manuel Melo and Maria Isabel Fagundes.
A Taunton resident since 1976, Lourenco worked for many years at Rocha's Cleaning Service.
Besides his wife, Maria, survivors include a son, Manuel Fagundes of Taunton; daughters, Maria Fagundes, Maria E. Fernandes and Maria F. DaRocha all of Taunton and Lucia Ribeiro of Fall River; a sister, Teresa Melo of Terceira, Azores; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was also grandfather of the late Alexi and Alia Fagundes.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:am in St. Anthony Church.
Calling hours will take place prior to Mass from 8:00am to 10:15am at Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
