Lucia (De Bairos) Leandres, age 71, of Taunton, passed away peacefully at her home on November 5, 2021. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Jose Leandres.
Lucia was born in Santo Espirito Santa Maria Azores.
She was formerly employed as a maintainer with Bridgewater State University. She enjoyed time spent with her family.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, David Leandres and his wife Jessica of Taunton and Danny Leandres and his wife Anabela of East Taunton; seven siblings, Maria Teresa Fraga, Isabel Bairos, Jose De Bairos, Rosa Tavares, Rita Bairos, Conceicao Cabral and Fernanda Silveira all of Taunton; four grandchildren, Cameron, Nevaeh, Cassidy and Dylan Leandres. She is also survived by several loving godchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lucia’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 9:00am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church School Street Taunton at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 9th from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
