TAUNTON - Luciano A. Silva, 62, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Jan. 10, 2010.
Born in Terceira, Azores, and raised in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio J. and Maria Filomena (Cabral) Silva.
Mr. Silva served in the Portuguese Army before moving to Taunton in 1972.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, he was employed by the former Bacon Felt Company for many years, later retiring due to disability.
Survivors include two brothers, William Silva and his wife Susie of Taunton, and Antonio M. Silva and his wife Leonor of St. Michael, Azores; a sister, Ana Maria Reis and her husband Duarte of St. Michael, Azores; 2 aunts, Yvonne Ferreira of Marco Island, FL and Gabriela Raposo of New Bedford; and several nephews and cousins.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Wednesday, Jan. 13th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 12th from 6 to 8 p.m.
