Lucille (Catabia) King, age 86 of Dighton, passed away on August 20th, with her family by her side. Born in Dighton, Lucille was the daughter of the late Louis and Louise (Cambra) Catabia and sister of the late Lenny Catabia. Before retiring Lucille was employed with Swank Inc in Taunton. She enjoyed gambling/slot machines and going to the casino, puzzles, watching facebook videos, and seeing the hummingbirds outside her windows. She always had a sweet tooth for pastries and looked forward to her weekly malasadas. Lucille’s greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with any time spent with family and her beloved pet/companion Daisy. Lucille is survived by her loving children, Michelle Borrello and husband Jon of North Falmouth, Joseph King Jr and wife Deana of Dighton. Grandmother to Kassandra (Chadd) Heath, Jon (Sara) Borrello, Madison and Marissa King, and great-grandmother to Sofia, Alyianna and Graesyn. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 3pm with a funeral service to begin at 5pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at St. Mary’s Square) in Taunton. There will be a private burial at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in Lucille’s memory.
