Luty P. Silvia, a longtime Attleboro resident, died at Golden Living Wedgemere Nursing Center in Taunton on April 27, 2009.
She was 91.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel P. and Isabel (Martin) Silvia.
Educated in Taunton schools, she moved to Attleboro many years ago, where she lived until recently.
A courier for Texas Instruments for over 20 years, she retired many years ago.
Ms. Silvia was a former communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton.
She enjoyed hunting and fishing, and more recently, playing golf.
Survivors include 4 nieces, Isabelle Baptista and Evelyn Enos, both of Taunton, Joanne Martin and Patricia White, both of FL; and 2 nephews, John Silvia of Barrington, RI and Edward Murphy of Burlington, MA.
She was the sister of the late Mary Murphy and the late Manuel P., Joseph P., John P., Frank P., James P. and Lillian P. Silvia; and the aunt of the late Joseph F. Silvia.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway at St. Mary's Square, Taunton on Saturday, May 2nd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m.
