TAUNTON - Madeline M. (Braga) Paiva, wife of the late Edward R. Paiva, died peacefully at her Taunton home on Feb. 24, 2010.
She was 71.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elvira (Andrade) Braga.
Raised and educated in Dighton, she worked for Marian Manor and Catholic Memorial Home as a nurses aide prior to working as a Home Health Care Aide.
Mrs. Paiva enjoyed visiting Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, dancing, and cooking for her family.
She leaves three sons, E. Scott Paiva of Taunton, David Paiva of Berkley, Wayne A. Paiva of Fall River; a daughter, Sandra L. Thibault of Fall River; two brothers Edmund Braga of Dighton, Manuel Furtado of Fall River; a sister Geraldine Wilbur of CA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph and Donald Braga.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday March 2nd at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 1st from 4 to 7 p.m.
