Manuel M. Arruda, Sr., age 75 of Taunton, passed away on August 2, 2019 at South East Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
He was the beloved husband of the late Maria F. (Mendonca) Arruda.
Manuel was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Joseph and Filomenia (Moreira) Arruda.
Before retiring, Mr. Arruda was employed with Foot Joy in Brockton as a shoe cutter for many years.
Manuel is survived by a son; Manuel M. Arruda, Jr and a daughter Beth Ann Silvia. He was also the brother of Mario Arruda and grandfather of 4.
Mr. Arruda’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
