Manuel Pacheco Cabral

Manuel P. Cabral , 94, of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Filomena de Rocha (Dutra) Cabral.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel Cabral Clotildes and Irene Pacheco (Almas) Cabral.

He worked as a factory worker for many years at Acoustic Research in Canton before retiring.

Manuel enjoyed assembling puzzles and watching sports, especially Soccer, a lifelong Benfica fan, and bad mouthing the Bruins.

He leaves his daughter Fatima Almas, and her husband, Daniel, of Taunton; two sisters, Maria Santa Cristo and Maria Jose both of Sao Miguel, Azores; three grandchildren, Steven Almas, and his wife, Terri, of Texas, Patricia Cordeiro, and her husband, Paulo, of Fall River, and Alison Almas, and her companion, Nicholas Lang, of New Hampshire; and two great grandchildren, Isabella and Zachary Almas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday , September 16, 2020 at 9:00 am, in Saint Anthony Church, School Street, Taunton.  Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.

Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
