Manuel de Medeiros Cabrinha, age 80 of Taunton , passed away on December 19, 2020, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Maria de Lourdes (Camelo) Cabrinha.
Manuel was born in Livramento, Sao Miguel, Acores, the son of the late Antonio de Medeiros and Virginia do Carmo (Martins) Cabrinha.
Before retiring, Mr. Cabrinha was employed with A. Vozzella & Sons as a laborer for over 30 years. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 876. He enjoyed gardening, making wine, taking care of his animals, and would always lend a helping hand to those in need. Most of all he was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his loving wife Maria of over 56 years, he is survived by his loving children, Eduarda Cabrinha and her companion Dimas Veloso, Paul G. Cabrinha and his wife Teresa of Raynham and Michael Cabrinha of Taunton. He was the grandfather of Sara and Owen. Manuel was also the brother of Joao Carlos Medeiros of Taunton, Antonio Medeiros and Maria Helena Medeiros of Livramento, Acores, and Conceicao Frias of Canada, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose Fernando Medeiros and the late Maria Jose Pereira.
Manuel’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 8:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church on School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
(During all services, facial coverings will be required.)
