Manuel deMedeiros, age 75 of Taunton, passed away on December 23, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Maria (Sousa) deMedeiros.
Manuel was born in Sao Miguel Azores, the son of the late Manuel and Maria deLourdes (Torres) deMedeiros.
Before retiring, Mr. deMedeiros was employed with Wheaton College for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and attending Portuguese festivals. Most of all he was a loving and caring man who was devoted to his family.
Besides his beloved wife Maria of over 48 years, he is survived by his loving children; Peter Medeiros and his wife Sheri of Dighton, Patricia Silva and her husband Jose of Pawtucket and Al Medeiros and his wife Renee of North Dartmouth. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Marcus, Devon, Brooke, Paige, Kayden and Kyan and his precious great-grand child Jaylon “JJ”.
Manuel’s funeral will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 7:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton . Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 27th from 2 to 5pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
During all services facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
