TAUNTON - Manuel M. Leite, Jr., a Taunton resident since 1966, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sept. 10, 2011.
He was 70.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel M. and Angelina (Medeiros) Leite, Sr.
He was employed by the former Crown Wire Co. of Taunton as a machine operator for over twenty years.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, Mr. Leite enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Michael J. Leite and his wife Ilda of Taunton; a daughter, Sandra Nelson of Taunton; three grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, and Bryana Leite; a great grandson, Jayvien Riveira; his former wife, Eduarda M. (Soares) Leite; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Jose and Antonio Leite.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday Sept. 15th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
