Manuel C. Lopes, 91, husband of the late Angelina Lopes, died at Morton Hospital on June 15, 2009.
Born in Indian Orchard, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel C. and Mary (Mello) Lopes.
Educated in Taunton schools, he later served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Employed by Raytheon for many years, Mr. Lopes later retired from Nothrup-Gruman in 1982.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 7 of Easton.
Survivors include a daughter, Valerie A. Tower of Raynham; 4 sisters, Mary C. Semas, Margaret C. Self, and Estelle C. Lopes, all of CA, and Emilie C. LaScala of SC; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Kathleen S. Lopes and the brother of the late Noel C. Lopes.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Monday, June 22nd at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
