Manuel Narciso, age 88 of Taunton, passed away on May 10, 2018 at the Taunton Nursing Home.
He was the beloved husband of the late Maria da Conceicao ( Sebastiao) Narciso for 54 years before her passing in 2007.
Manuel was born in St. Miguel, Azores, a son of the late Jose and Maria da Conceicao ( Estrella) Narciso.
Before retirement in 1994, Mr. Narciso was employed for many years with Nabisco as a candy maker. He enjoyed gardening, growing grapes and most of all spending time with his family.He was a longtime parishioner of Saint Anthony Church.
He is survived by his children; Jose M. Narciso and his wife Fatima of Brockton, Maria L. Moniz and her husband Carlos of East Taunton, Lucy M. Tavares and husband Daniel of Canada and Laudalina Sousa and her husband Antonio of Canada, brother Jose Narciso and grandchildren; Mark, Jennifer, Paul, Kevin, Jeffrey, Amanda, Kimberly and Ashley, two great grandchildren; Ethan and Parker and one on the way in September. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Manuel’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 8am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Monday, May 14th from 5 to 8 pm.
(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
