TAUNTON - Manuel Pinheiro, son of Jose and Maria T. (Moitoso) Pinheiro, Sr. of Taunton, died on May 5, 2013 due to injuries sustained in a boating accident. He was 47.
Born in Galt, Ontario, Canada, he moved to Taunton in 1966 and graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School in 1984.
A retired custodian, he was employed by the Canton School Department for over 20 years.
He was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
In addition to his parents, he leaves two sons, Nicholas and Daniel Pinheiro, both of Taunton; two brothers, Antonio Pinheiro and his wife Grace, and Angelo Pinheiro and his wife Betsy, all of Taunton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose Pinheiro, Jr.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday May 10th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 9th from 5 to 8 p.m.
