Maria C. (DeAndrade) Augusto of Taunton, passed away on August 23, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Augusto, who passed away in March of last year.
Maria was born in Carnicaes Portugal the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Tavares) DeAndrade.
Before her illness, Maria was employed as a seamstress with the former Robinson Curtain Co of Taunton.
Mrs. Augusto was loving, kind and a devoted person who loved spending time with her family especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and growing plants and flowers.
Maria is survived by her children, Fernando J. Augusto of Middleboro, Antonio C. Augusto, Helder M. Augusto and Dulce H. Simal all of Taunton, the sister of the Raul DeAndrade of France. She was also the grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 8 and sister of the late Armindo and Ester DeAndrade.
Mrs. Augusto's funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 8 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St., Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
