Maria C. (Vieira) Medeiros, age 88 of Taunton, passed away on February 10, 2021 at Somerset Ridge.
She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Medeiros, Jr.
Maria was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Jacinto and Angelina (Melo) Vieira.
Before retiring, Mrs. Medeiros was employed with the former Lucey Shoe Co in Bridgewater.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted grandmother.
Mrs. Medeiros is survived by her loving children; Manuel Medeiros, Alvaro Medeiros both of Taunton and Dennis DeMedeiros of Attleboro. She was the grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 5 and the sister of Diniz Serodio and Evelina Moniz both of Taunton. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Vieira, Jose Serodio and the late Francelina Bolieiro.
Maria’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11 am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm in Saint Anthony Church School St , Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.)
During all services, facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
