Maria Z. (DeSilva) DaSilva, age 81 of Taunton, passed away on February 26, 2019 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater.
She was the wife of the late Anthony Silvia.
Maria was born in Fayal, Azores, a daughter of the late Francisco and Florinda (deJesus) DeSilva.
Before retiring, Mrs. DaSilva was employed with the former Eureka Manufacturing Co. for over 16 years. She loved cats, enjoyed listening to Elvis, and spending time with her close friends.
Besides her close friends, Maria is survived by a sister Maria Olga Fraga of Fayal, Azores, and nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Maria Helena Machado.
Maria’s funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
