Maria Lourdes (Brito) Diniz, age 83 of Bridgewater and formerly of Taunton and California, a loving mother, passed away on January 22, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Maria was born in Terceira, Azores, the beloved daughter of the late John Martins Brito and the late Maria Adelaide Brito.
Before retiring, Mrs. Diniz was employed with the former Boyden plastics. She enjoyed knitting and patchwork on quilts. She was a loving and caring person who loved her family dearly.
She was the loving mother of Isabel Diniz-Brewer, George Diniz and Joseph Diniz and was the loving grandmother of Amanda Carey.
A private burial was held in saint Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. A celebration and a memorial Mass of her life is planned for a later date.
