Maria Fatima (Vasconcelos) Silveira, age 89, passed away at her residence on July 14, 2020 with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Henrique Silveira.
Maria was born in Flores, Azores, the daughter of the late Joseph and Evarista (Mendonca) Vasconcelos.
Before retiring, Mrs. Silveira was employed with Renny’s Curtain Factory.
Mrs. Silveira was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church, and was very active with the Holy Ghost Society. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family and her faith in God.
Maria is survived by her loving children; Joseph H. Silveira and his wife Fernanda of Taunton and Maria Cathcart and her husband Joseph of Wareham. She was the loving grandmother of Jaqueline, Zachary, Joseph B. and Emily, sister of Carmina C. Vasconcelos of Taunton and sister of the late Jose Vasconcelos.
Mrs. Silveira’s funeral will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 7:45am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to7pm on Friday, July 17th in the Silva Funeral Home. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
