RAYNHAM - Maria I. (Azevedo) Lima, formerly of Taunton, died at Life Care Center of Raynham on August 7, 2012.
She was 85 years old and predeceased by her husband of fifty years, the late Manuel F. Lima.
Born and raised in Terceira, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose L. and Adelaide C. (DaSilva) Azevedo.
Mrs. Lima moved to the United States in 1984 and settled in Taunton. She was employed as a packer by Swank, Inc. for twelve years, before retiring at the age of sixty-five.
A kindhearted person, Mrs. Lima enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and time spent with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Fernando M. Lima of Terceira, Azores, and Joao A. Lima and his wife Fernanda of Taunton; a daughter, Ilda F. Botelho and her husband Jose of Taunton; a brother, Jose S. Azevedo of Terceira, Azores; two sisters, Vitalina Pacheco and Teresa Perpetua both of Taunton; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday August 10th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
