Maria M. (Tavares) Carreiro, age 74 of Taunton, passed away on March 20, 2025, at Morton Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of Mario Carreiro.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel E. and Maria Dos Angos Tavares.
Before retiring, Mrs. Carreiro was employed with Dunkin Donuts as a Finisher.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a love for cooking, decorating, and watching church mass.
Besides her beloved husband, Mario, of over 53 years, she is survived by her children, Rui, his wife Lorraine, daughter Cynthia, her Fiancé Marco, and her grandchildren Aaden, Christian, Landon, Rylan, and Leslie. She was the sister of Maria F. Carreiro of Taunton and sister of the late Maria C. DeMello, Paulina Correia, and the late Manuel Tavares.
Maria’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Catholic Burial at 12:00 p.m. in Saint Anthony Church at School Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
