Maria Mauricio

Maria D. (Medeiros) Mauricio, age 98 of Dighton, formerly of Taunton, passed away on April 24, 2026 at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River.

She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Mauricio.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Mariano and Maria (Pimentel) Medeiros.

Maria enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

Maria is survived by her loving children, Graziela Benevides and her husband John of Dighton, Leonor Santos of FL and Lidia Mauricio of Taunton, grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 14.

She was also the mother of the late Antonio Mauricio and sister of the late Irene Correia.

Maria’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
