TAUNTON - Maria T. (Moitoso) Pinheiro, wife of Jose Pinheiro, Sr. of Taunton, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on Sept. 19, 2015.
She was 79.
Born in Faial, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose S. and Maria E. (de Jesus) Moitoso.
Mrs. Pinheiro was employed by the former Frank Noone Shoe Co. for 17 years, retiring in 1983.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Parish and member of the Holy Ghost Society, she enjoyed crocheting, stitching, gardening, cooking, trips to Foxwoods and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Maria loved her church and will be remembered as a person of great faith.
In addition to her husband, she leaves 2 sons, Antonio Pinheiro and his wife Grace of Taunton and Angelo Pinheiro and his wife Betsy of E. Taunton; a sister, Anna E. Rose of Taunton; 7 grandchildren, Lisa Arpin and Nicholas, Mandy, Daniel, Adam, Vanessa, and Hannah Pinheiro; 2 great grandchildren, Kailyn and Dillon Arpin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Jose Pinheiro, Jr. and Manuel Pinheiro and the sister of the late Jose L. Moitoso.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
