Maria G. Valadao, 85, of Taunton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of Jose C. Valadao, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Terceira, Azores, daughter of the late Chico and Bazelice (Gonsalves) Toste and sister of the late Francisco Toste of Mississauga, Canada.
Maria was an active parishioner of St. Anthony Church and enjoyed raising her grandchildren, cooking, and spending time with family.
Besides her husband, Maria is survived by her children, Lina Cabral and husband Dinis Cabral of Raynham, Lucia Vieira and husband Elmiro Vieira of Taunton, Maria Brasil and husband Manuel Brasil of Taunton, Tome Valadao and wife Celestina Valadao of Taunton, and Jose Valadao and wife Ondina Valadao of Attleboro; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 5th, at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Anthony Church at 10am. Interment Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday from 4-7pm.
