Maria "Mary" Rose (Araujo) Serodeo

Maria “Mary” Rose (Araujo) Serodeo, age 70 of Taunton, passed away on April 16, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of Jose A. Serodeo.

Mary was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Rose) Araujo.

Mrs. Serodeo retired as a secretary for many years with Norwell manufacturing, she was also employed with Princess House.

Mrs. Serodeo was a graduate of Taunton High, class of 1969, she then received her Assoc. degree in accounting from Bristol Community College. She was a strong believer in her Catholic faith and was a communicant of Saint Anthony Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing board games and cards, most of all she was a loving and caring person to any person she met and was always willing to help.

Besides her beloved husband Jose of over 43 years, she is survived by her loving children; Joseph Serodeo and Sandra Serodeo all of Taunton, and was the mother of the late Rose Mary Serodeo. Mary was very close to her aunt, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews who meant the world to her.

Maria’s funeral will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 7:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 21st from 5 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to The American Cancer Society in Mary’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.

During all services, facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
