Mariano Rodriguez, age 79, passed away on June 29, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margarita (Quinones) Rodriguez.
Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Marcelino and Aleja (Velasquez) Rodriguez.
Before retiring, Mr. Rodriguez was employed as a foundry worker.
He loved traveling and spending time with his family while watching wrestling, boxing, and Spanish novelas. He was the rock of the family and the life of the party, and was a burst of sunshine in everyone's lives. When he resided in New York, he enjoyed going to Yankee Stadium and was a HUGE Yankees fan. Mr. Rodriguez was a proud man who loved Puerto Rico and everything about it.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his loving daughters, Marline, Carmen, Hilda and Cathaline Rodriguez, grandfather of 19, great-grandfather of many.
He is also the brother of Angel, Petrolina, Pilar, Lucy, Delia Rodriguez, and brother of the late Felicita Aponte, Victor Rodriguez, Leon Rodriguez and the late Jose Rodriguez.
Mariano’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 9am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saint Mary’s Church, Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
