Marie Booth, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, October 9, 2026. She was just 14 days shy of her 101st birthday, which would have been celebrated on October 23.

Marie’s greatest joy was her family, to whom she gave her unwavering devotion. She possessed a spirited personality—strong-willed, determined, and never afraid to speak her mind—yet her heart was incredibly generous. She loved bringing her family together through food, whether she was preparing a favorite recipe from scratch or sharing a hot pizza and a cold beer. Marie also found contentment in life’s quieter moments, often spending an entire day lost in the pages of a good book. Truly unforgettable and deeply loved, her warmth, unique humor, and unmistakable spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Whenever the family shared a drink, Marie was always the first to raise a glass and say, “Cheers!” And so, to a life beautifully lived and a woman deeply missed, we raise a final glass to her.

Marie is survived by her beloved son, Harold “Sonny” Booth Jr., and his wife, Louise; her sister, Rita Kusek; and her cherished granddaughters, Megan Savery and her husband, Nick, and Kristen Sangmaster and her husband, Robert. She absolutely adored her five great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Autumn, Abigail, Annabelle, and Eli. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and a few very special friends who became like family—including Angela, whose compassionate care, devotion, and deep bond made her a part of the family and brought immense comfort to Marie’s final years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold Booth Sr.; her parents, Marcelino and Julia DeBrum; her brothers, Frank, William, and Edwin DeBrum; and her sisters, Ricarda Repoza and Emily Childs.

Marie’s funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM, with a service beginning at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
