Mario Paiva, age 78 of Taunton, passed away on November 14, 2021 at Brockton Hospital after battling cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Fernanda (Medeiros) Paiva of 57 years.
Mr. Paiva was born in Faial da Terra, S. Miguel, Açores the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Pereira) Paiva.
Before retiring, Mario was employed with Harodite Industries for over 35 years.
Both he and his wife loved camping in the Bourne Scenic Park where they happily entertained family and friends for over 40 years. He enjoyed camping for six months out of the year and travelling with his family.
Mario is also survived by his loving daughter Nicole Paiva and his precious granddaughter McKenzie Cabral both of Taunton. He was the brother of Eugenio Paiva and Conçeicão Leite both of Taunton, and the brother of the late Manuel Paiva, Deolinda deMelo, Joana Silva and Estrela Paiva.
Mr. Paiva’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 9 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saint Anthony Church, School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
