Marjorie D. (Garver) Barner, age 97 of Taunton, formerly of Colorado, passed away on August 29, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Alton Barner.
Born in Hollywood, California, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Albion and Josephine Boutelle.
Before retiring, Mrs. Barner was employed with Aerojet, Xcel Energy, and the Colorado public school system as a secretary. She enjoyed the outdoors (hiking, fishing), lighthouses, knitting, fashion, sewing, needlepoint, bible study, and baking.
Mrs. Barner is survived by her loving children; Judy Gunther and husband Dennis of Taunton, MA, Kim Curtis Barner and wife Donna of Thornton, CO, and Philip J. Barner and wife Angie of Littleton, CO. She was the grandmother of Drew Barner, A.J. Barner, Phil Barner, Danielle Knutson, Kammi Debes, Laura Gunther, Scott Gunther and Jennifer Robledo ; and great-grandmother of Kaitlyn Knutson, Kenny Knutson, Nikki Stout, Isabelle Stout, Paul Robledo, Josephine Grafweg, and Oscar Grafweg.
