Mark “Mopar Mark” Andrew Nadeau, age 61 of Dighton, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side from a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Mark is the beloved husband and soulmate of Bonnie (Sadlier) Nadeau.

Mark was born in Taunton, the son of the late Paul and Beatrice (Greene) Nadeau, Sr.

Before his illness, Mark was employed with G. Lopes Construction Company as a heavy equipment fleet manager mechanic for 30 years. He proudly served his country with the Navy.

Mark had a great passion for muscle car’s especially Mopar. He built his 1974 Duster, with the help and generosity of many who donated to assist in the rebuild of his dream car, with a 424 ci Super Charged engine. He loved going to car shows, and enjoyed helping anyone in need. You could always count on Mark. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, spending time with his family and friends, and living life to the fullest. Mark was also a proud member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club.

Besides his beloved wife Bonnie of over 13 years, he is survived by his children; Terry Nadeau and his wife Erica of Westport MA, Timothy Nadeau and partner Lori Tripp of Dighton MA, Michael Ventura of Sagamore MA, and Nicholas Ventura of Dighton MA, his siblings Paul Nadeau Jr and his wife Janet of Mattapoisett MA, Robert Nadeau and his wife Sharon of Taunton, MA, his grandchildren Corey Nadeau of Fall River MA, Anthony Nadeau of New Bedford MA, and Katelyn Nadeau of Westport MA. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Special thanks to the Southcoast Hospice team and his special “Mopar" brother and wife.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 starting at 2 pm in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. A service will begin at 6 pm. Mark’s interment will be held privately with military honors in the Dighton Veteran’s Cemetery. Muscle cars are encouraged during the visitation, Mark would love that.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to the National Brain Tumor Society in Mark’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
