Mary A. (Barbosa) DeFreitas, age 87 of Raynham, passed away on October 2, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Joaquim DeFreitas.
Born in Flores, Azores, Mary was the daughter of the late Jose and Filomena (Teixeira) Barbosa.
Before retiring, Mrs. DeFreitas was employed with Whittenton Garment Co. As a sticher for many rears.
She enjoyed reading,cooking and has a wonderful sense of humor. Mary will be missed by many.
Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Anne Maimaron and husband Mark of Raynham, grandmother of Michael and Joseph Maimaron, sister of Augusto, Mario and Jorge Barbosa.
She was also the sister of the late Celena Lattorre, Luna Barbosa, Liberia Morais, Lionel Barbosa, Antonio Barbosa and the late Jose Barbosa.
Mary’s funeral will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square.) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Ann Church North Main Street in Raynham. Interment will follow in saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 5th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
