Mary D. (Homen) Greer, age 90 of Taunton, passed away on December 4, 2025 at Marian Manor with her loving family by her side.
Mary was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Fonseca) Homen.
Before retiring, Mrs. Greer was employed as a Data Processor with Morton Hospital.
In her earlier days, she loved doing word searches, playing bingo with her granddaughter, watching soap operas, and cheering for her beloved Red Sox and Patriots. She was a member of Morton Hospital Retirees’ Association, She was a HUGE Elvis Fan! For her 80th Birthday, we surprised her with an Elvis impersonator.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Dwayne Greer, Warrenda Ainsworth (Tom Meyer), Wannetta Collins (Dennis Vassalotti), and Denise Rivas (Tomas), grandchildren; Charlie Greer (Melinda), Jeff Greer (Trisha), Sara Gulde (Nick), Ashleigh Berger (Chris), Cheyenne Collins, Nicholas Rivas, great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Emma Kate, Cooper, and Addilyn Greer. She was the mother of the late Darryl Greer and sister of the late Joseph Homen and Louise Homen.
In addition to her family, she is survived by her beloved cat, Lizzie, who brought years of joy.
Mary’s funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10 am with a funeral home service to begin at 11am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway ( at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
