TAUNTON - Mary Anne (Banus) Rossini, wife of the late Dominic Rossini, died at her Taunton home on Jan. 1, 2012.
She was 86.
Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Orlanwsky) Banus.
Raised and educated in Middleboro, she was a 1944 graduate of Middleboro High School.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, in her earlier years she was employed by the Frank Noone Shoe Co. in Taunton, and the Ruth David Store in Boca Raton, FL, where she resided for some time.
A Taunton area resident since 1972, Mrs. Rossini was an avid golfer and enjoyed duckpin bowling.
A member of the Weir Seniors, she was fond of reading and knitting.
Survivors include a son, Donald M. Rossini of Norwell; a daughter, Lauren E. (Debbie) Rossini of Littleton, CO; and three grandchildren, Kaitlin and Hailey Wright, both of Littleton, CO, and Kelsey Rossini of Norwell.
She was also the sister of the late Sophie DeGouveia, Molly Norkus, and Lillian Medeiros.
Funeral services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Jan. 6th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Middleboro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services.
