Mary Vieira, age 96 of Taunton, MA passed away on July 12, 2022 at Longmeadow Nursing Home.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Lane) Vieira.
Mary was employed in Attleboro as a cosmetologist and also as a travel consultant in Taunton for many years. After retirement she worked part-time as a receptionist at Citizens for Citizens.
She was an parishioner of Saint Jude the Apostle Parish and a member of the Women’s Guild, she was also a member of The Greater Taunton Charitable Association, the Holy Ghost Society of East Taunton, a past member of Offices of the Professional Women, the Taunton Chapter of Catholic Women, and a volunteer at Morton Hospital former Gift Shop.
She is survived by her loving nephews; James Correia, Bruce Correia, David Correia, nieces; Sheila Martin and her husband Anthony, Patricia Nelson, Annette Correia, MaryAnn Coakley and her husband Michael, 3 great nieces, 6 great nephews, 6 great-great nieces , 4 great-great nephews, and 1 great-great-great nephew.
She was the sister of the late Betty Correia and aunt of the late John Nelson.
Mary’s funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 9:30 am with a funeral home service to begin at 10:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
