Melissa Kay (Kramer) Woodward

Melissa Kay Kramer Woodward, age 48 of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in her home.

She was the former wife of Daniel R Woodward Sr.

Melissa was born in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and raised in Mechanicsburg before moving to Massachusetts, a daughter of Delores Kramer and Jeffrey Buffington Sr.

Melissa spent many years as a stay at home mom to her beloved sons.

Other than spending time with her family, Melissa enjoyed tending to her garden. Melissa leaves behind her beloved dog Titan whom was her loyal companion that she loved taking to the beach. She enjoyed sitting in the sun and spending time outdoors. She spoiled her only grandson, Danny, and made sure he never went without.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

Besides her parents, Melissa is survived by her loving sons Daniel Woodward Jr. and his significant other Christina Fish, and Tyler Woodward and his significant other Savannah Peyton, a brother Jeffrey Buffington Jr. and his wife Stephanie Buffington of East Taunton, and a sister Jennifer Brito and her husband Sandro Brito of Taunton. She was also the grandmother of her cherished grandson Daniel Woodward III. Melissa is survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and her grandmother Pearl Buffington of Halifax, Pennsylvania.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 4 to 7pm in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.

Social distancing will be observed, please wait in your vehicle and a staff member will escort you into the funeral home.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately.
