Mirna "Lucy" Sanchez

Mirna “Lucy” L. Sanchez, age 73 of Taunton, passed away on June 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Angel Feliciano.

Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eladio and Ramona ( Padilla) Sanchez.

Mirna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family knew no bounds, especially her grandchildren. She had a fiery spirit, a spicy sense of humor, and a personality that could light up any room. Mirna loved joking with family and friends and was always quick with a witty remark or playful tease that brought laughter to those around her. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and celebrations, bringing loved ones together with food, laughter, and love. She also loved attending parties, dancing, drinking, and making memories with family and friends. Mirna had a passion for shopping and could never resist a handbag or a stylish pair of shoes. Strong-willed, loving, and fiercely protective of those she cared about, she lived life with enthusiasm. Her warmth, laughter, and unforgettable spicy energy will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her beloved husband Angel of 45 years, she is survived by her children; Evelyn Hernandez- DePina and husband Paulo, Manuel Sanchez and wife Jennifer, grandchildren; Kassandra, Nikita, Alexander, Nathalia, Shylah, Sarah, Ashley, AJ, Alanah, sisters; Teresa Sanchez, Carmen Miranda and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is the sister of the late Jose Luis Sanchez and Jesus Sanchez.

Mirna’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 5 to 8pm in the Silva Funeral Home.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the building.
