EAST TAUNTON - Nicki L. Murray, husband of the late Irene B. (Racine) Murray, died unexpectedly at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on August 28, 2011.
He was 62.
Born in Decatur, IL, he was the son of the late Milton and Janet J. (Stanley) Sunderland.
Raised and educated in Illinois, he later received an MBA from UMass Dartmouth.
Mr. Murray served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and moved to East Taunton in 1977.
Employed by the Sika-Sarnafil Co. of Canton as an inventory and logistics control manager for the past twenty-one years, he retired in January of 2011.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, and an avid Boston Bruins fan.
Survivors include two sons, Jason B. and his wife Valerie (Stafford) Murray, and Kevin J. and his wife Erin (Dimond) Murray, all of Taunton; three brothers, James B., Leslie J. and Steven D. Sunderland; two sisters, Stephanie A. and Karen Sunderland; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Paige Murray; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Friday, Sept. 2nd at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
