Nixida Rivera Delgado, 70, of Pawtucket, passed away on September 19, 2020 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, in Providence. She was the companion of the late Rafael Cruz. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Miguel and Cecilia (Delgado) Rivera. She loved music, caring for her house plants, and playing dominoes. Nixida is survived by her three children, Kathy Escobalez, of Taunton, Miguel Escobalez, Pawtucket, and Johnny Escobalez; five brothers, Samuel, Miguel, Hector, Joey, and Jorge Rivera; a sister, Birgen Rivera; five grandchildren, Nixida Cruz, Rosa Cruz, Johnny Escobalez, Jr., Janieliz Escobalez, and Milani Escobalez; three great grandchildren, Rosandra Furtado, Randy Cotto, Jr., and Braylee Cotto. She was the sister of the late Edgar Rivera, Lourdes Rivera, and Andeline Rivera. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 10:00 am , in Saint Mary’s Church, 14 Saint Mary’s Square, Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted. Arrangements are with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
