Peter Bernard Paulauskas, age 61, of Lakeville, unexpectedly passed away on August 3, 2018, at Morton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Lima) Paulauskas. Peter, born in Boston, was the son of the late Kazys Paulauskas and Gisela (Bergherr) Paulauskas. In addition to his beloved wife, Susan, of 8 years, he is survived by his loving daughter, Emma Quinn Paulauskas, of Quincy, and stepson, Alex Madureira, of Bridgewater. Peter was also the brother of Ilona Paulauskas, of Raynham, Joseph Paulauskas, of Brockton, and Thomas Paulauskas, of Ohio, as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews. Currently a Field Service Professional at Vivint Solar, he previously worked as a Project Manager, at Fidelity Investments for over 17 years. Additionally, he was an entrepreneur and sole proprietor of Computer Engineering, Inc. He had also assumed the role of IT Manager at his wife’s medical billing company, HealthCare Management Services. Peter proudly served his country with the United States Air Force and was an active member of several law enforcement agencies. He was an accomplished pianist of classical and jazz music, and at a young age, conducted the Junior Boston Symphony Orchestra. Most importantly, Peter cherished spending time with his family and friends, and had a special spot in his heart for animals, especially dogs and horses. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 9th, from 4:00-7:00 pm, at the Silva Funeral Home (additional parking with handicap access is located at the North side of the funeral home). Peter’s funeral will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 9:00 am, with a service to begin at 10:00 am, in the chapel, at the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery 475 East Britannia Street, Taunton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be greatly appreciated. They can be made to the following organizations: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org), the Lakeville Police Department (make checks payable to Lakeville Police Department Gifts and Grants, indicate memoriam to Peter B. Paulauskas, and mail to 296 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347), and/or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals “ASPCA” (aspca.org).
