Phillip Wayne Andrews, 74, of Taunton, died on December 13, 2018 at his home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and tardiv dyskinesia. Born and raised in Ohio, Phil joined the United States Air Force in 1962 and served with the 551st Airborne Early Warning and Control Wing as a radar technician at Otis Air Force Base. After being discharged from the Air Force, Phil moved to Taunton and became a master plumber and journeyman electrician. He operated Andrews plumbing and heating for many years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local union number 223. He was also a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by his former wife, Deborah Wordell Andrews, his children, attn. Lucas and Brenda Andrews of Atlanta, Holly Kessler of Rochester New Hampshire, Laurel Bradley of Pittsfield, Thomas and Jennifer Andrews of Dunbarton New Hampshire, Wayne Andrews of Taunton, Attn. Timothy and Christina Andrews of Decatur, Georgia and Gregory Andrews of Worcester. His grandchildren, Phineas Andrews of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Eden Rose Andrews of Atlanta Georgia, Winston Andrews of Santa Cruz, California, Kearsley Kessler of Lynchburg Virginia, Bowen Kessler of Rochester, New Hampshire, Christopher Bradley of Pittsfield, and Owen and Kate Andrews of Decatur. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Albert Bradley Jr.

Visiting hours will be held in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm..

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)

Interment with military honors will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA
