TAUNTON - Pulqueria C. (DoCouto) Medeiros, wife of Marcelino F. DeMedeiros of Taunton, died at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Easton on May 8, 2014.
She was 77.
Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Julia (Pereira) DoCouto.
A Taunton resident since 1962, Mrs. Medeiros was employed by Texas Instruments, where she worked as a motor controls welder for thirty years, retiring in 1999.
She was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
She enjoyed going for drives, shopping, traveling and family gatherings.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Robert J. Medeiros and his wife Maria of Norton; a daughter, Joanne Medeiros-Pimentel and her husband Paulo of Norton; two brothers, Edward DoCouto of Raynham and Jose Luis DoCouto of Grover City, CA; sister, Julianna De Andrade of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Ashlee, and Mathew Medeiros and Andrew Pimentel, all of Norton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was also the sister of the late Jorge DoCouto and Connie Rufino.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, May 14th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.
