Richard S. LaJoie, age 68, of Plympton, MA passed away on August 12, 2021 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H.
He was the beloved husband of Vivian (Roberts) LaJoie.
Born in Fall River, MA , he was the son of the late Adelard and Shirley (Gillman) LaJoie.
Richard served in the Army National Guard for 21 years. Over the years he worked for several different companies as a machinist/toolmaker and maintenance mechanic. When he retired from Taunton Municipal Light Plant he split his time between MA and NH.
Richard loved his family, riding motorcycles, Corvettes, snowmobiles and traveling. He was a long time member of the Upland Riders in MA and a member of Lakes Region Corvette Club and Alexandria Ledge Climbers in NH.
Besides his loving wife Vivian of 48 years he is survived by his sons; Todd LaJoie and wife Tina, Scott LaJoie and wife Crystal, grandchildren; Ty, Jacob, Jaxson, Lilianna, Nicholas and Victoria. He also leaves a brother Wayne LaJoie and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
On Friday, August 27th, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life from 1 to 4 pm under the pavilion at Upland Sportsmans Club, 76 Upland Rd, Plympton, MA. 02367.
