Rita A. (Mattos) Carey, age 87 of Raynham, passed away on January 27, 2018 at Marian Manor.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harry R. Carey who passed away on December 23, 2017.
Rita was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Antone and Catherine (MaGuire) Mattos.
She enjoyed her summer home in Wareham, loved the ocean and was devoted to her family.
Rita was loving and caring and devoted to her family. She will be missed by many.
Mrs. Carey is survived by two sons, Richard Carey and wife Rachel of Middleboro and Robert Carey and wife Tammy of Raynham. She was the grandmother of Tyler, Krystal and Frank, sister of Alice Wheeler and Barbara Ventura.She was also the mother of the late Paul Carey, and sister of the late Audrey Mattos.
Mrs. Carey’s funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9am with a funeral service to begin at 10am in The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
