Robert Edward Burchell

Robert E. Burchell , 68, of Raynham, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Morton Hospital.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late John E. and Mary (Semas) Burchell.

Bobby was a hard worker all of his life. He worked in the finishing department at Poole Silver Company for 15 years, Copper Craft Company for 3 years, Ames Department store as retail manager for 17 years, and lastly, Walmart for 7 years, before retiring.

Mr. Burchell enjoyed working outside and being outdoors. He loved birds and making sure he had ample bird feeders. In addition, he was a baseball fan and liked garden gnomes.

He is survived by a sister, Nancy M. Burchell, of Raynham; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Bobby was the brother of the late John A. Burchell, Vivian Enos, Roy “Sam” Burchell, and Annette Velozo. He was also preceded in death by his best friend, the late Annette Karol.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday , October 4, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary's Square)

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)

Robert's funeral will begin on Friday , October 5, 2018 at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary's Square)

Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
