TAUNTON - Robert A. Corey, a Taunton resident for many years, died at Morton Hospital on Feb. 23, 2009.
The husband of Agnes G. (Sylvia) Corey for the past 58 years, he was 79.
Born in Dighton, he was the son of the late Antone and Mary (Lorien) Corey.
Educated in Dighton schools, Mr. Corey later worked for the former Haskon Co. for over 27 years, before retiring at the age of 59.
A communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in N. Dighton, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Kenneth J. Corey of High Point, NC; 2 daughters, Gail A. Ouellette and her husband Raymond of Taunton, and Susan M. Corey and Frank of Middleboro; 3 sisters, Madeline Silvia of Raynham, Genevieve Farley of N. Dighton and Barbara O'Connell of Taunton; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Irene Correia,and Raymond, Alfred and Mary Corey.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Friday, Feb. 27th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, N. Dighton at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
