Robert Gomes, age 77 of Taunton, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Brigham & Woman’s Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of the late Guilhermina (Cardoza) Gomes.
Bob was born in Taunton, the son of the late Albert and Ann (Enos) Gomes.
Before retirement, Bob was employed with the State of Massachusetts for many years.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, skiing and had a love for music. In his early years he was a member of several bands. Bob was also a member of the Power Squadron.
Bob is survived by his sister Joyce Hackett of Taunton who was his caretaker, nephew’s, Shawn and Bob Hackett as well as his good friend, Leo Curry.
Bob’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 10:30am with a service to begin at 12 noon in the chapel of Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
