Robert D. McElroy,Sr., age 86 of Raynham, passed away on March 10, 2025 at Regal Care of Taunton.
He was the beloved husband of the late Gail E. (Unger) McElroy, who passed on January 24th of this year.
Robert was born in Needham, the son of the late Robert J. and Emmaline (Adams) McElroy.
Mr. McElroy was employed with the St. Regis Paper Company as a Mill Wright for many years.
Robert was a supporter of AA, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and studied Native American culture.
Robert is survived by his two cherished sons: Robert McElroy, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Raynham and William McElroy and his wife Barbara of Berkley; his grandchildren: Jami McElroy and her fiancé Alyssa, Lauren Martineau and husband Shawn, Devin McElroy, Shayne McElroy and his wife Sandyn, and Kayla McElroy and her significant other Mitchell; his great-grandchildren: Anthony and Dominic Gianfrancesco, Kyler Martineau, Barrett McElroy, and Aviyen Merced.
Robert’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, March13, 2025, at 10:00am with a Funeral Service to begin at 11am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.
